Change of Actress and Filming

Due to a number of different circumstances, I have changed my main actress (the rebellious teenager), which was originally going to be Jessica Hay, however I am now using Stephanie Cubello. Jessica was having trouble getting to my house for filming and had other commitments, which I didn't want to put pressure on, so Stephanie was willing to step in.

Stephanie is currently doing drama is college, so this is really helpful for me as she knows how to act extremely well. So, in my previous post where Jessica's name is, it is now Stephanie. 

Today we filmed the first part of my video, which is slightly delayed, as I was meant to start filming last week, however for a number of other commitments, I wasn't able to. We filmed the argument, the packing and the running out of street scene this morning, which went exactly as I had planned it. 

I was very organised for this filming, as I ensured that I had taken down photo's etc that I had up in my bedroom and I set out the rucksack and the items which Stephanie would be packing on the bed. Before I did this, I watched the Titanium video to see how the packing scene was filmed and how the bag and items were set out, which I then used their idea and used it in my video, as their items and bag were already set out. I also tested the lighting before filming and my bedroom was too light, so I had to close the blinds slightly to ensure that I could see Stephanie well enough. I also tested the lighting downstairs for the argument scene and I had to close one of the curtains to ensure I could see both actresses, however I ended up opening it halfway through filming as the room was too dark. The lighting looked a lot darker on my display screen on the camera, however once I uploaded the footage onto my laptop, it was perfect, which is great. This shows that I am now a lot more organised for this project than I was for my AS piece, as I experienced leaving things until the last minute and not setting things up previous to filming, which was a problem and it was extremely stressful! So for this project I knew that I needed to be organised and have everything set up and ready to film. 

I am going to edit some footage together to give you an example of the footage that I've been filming today. After we finished filming, I sat down with Stephanie to arrange the next filming dates and these are the dates that we have planned:

Sunday 10th November
11am - 2pm
- Bus scene and possibly Durham 

Sunday 17th November 
1pm - 4pm
- Durham

Monday 18th November
4pm - 5:30pm
- Woods scene and returning home 

I have searched for the sunset time and I have found that the sun starts to set at:

This means that the times that I have planned for the woods and returning home scene is perfect, as we will be about finished to start returning home around the sunset time which is good.

Today, we were only filming for 1 hour and 45 minutes which was quicker than what I thought and we really cracked on and got everything filmed that i'd planned, which is great.
