Everything Has Changed - Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran

This is particularly interesting as I was looking for 'Top Music Videos' and when I first found this video, it was 10th video on the Vevo site however, now it is 25th. This shows how in the space of a week, music video charts can volly up and down.

I love this video overall. I think it is extremely creative in the way it has been thought out and produced as the children that are the main characters are mini versions of Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, which I think is really inventive. After listening to the song, I am unsure how the video fits together with the song as it doesn't show an explicit link, however after looking for a deeper meaning, the video has been directly aimed at Taylor and Ed fans, as you think that the children are playing 'mini me's' as you see them singing and the little girl gives the little boy a fake tattoo, linking to Ed Sheeran's tattoos. Also, they're shown to be set out from the crowd and are extremely different to the rest of the class as they're shown to be more grown up.

Here, immediately the audience are able to understand that the children are wanting to be more grown up, through the use of flask and reading the newspaper on the bus. 'Everything Has Changed' could apply to how those two children are set apart from the rest of the class and how it has a better effect on their education.

The little girl makes this posh biscuit as everyone else is making 'messy' biscuits and not taking care of their work, however she takes extreme care with hers, again suggesting that she is of much more clearer mind set and is able to show her maturity.

Whilst the other children are playing games together, the two children are shown sat together on top of a climbing frame and the use of MS of their feet show that they're able to get on easily and they're also much different to the crowd as their maturity is again shown, possibly defining Taylor and Ed's relationship.

The bottom picture brings out the Taylor and Ed personality within the children, as they're playing instruments together and being musical. The long shot about shows the rest of the children out of focus, however the mini Taylor and Ed are shown to be doing some form of yoga, immediately separating them from the rest of the group.

I also love how they're pretending to be grown up by 'FaceTiming' each other, however when the camera shows a close up of their phones, they're actually wood:

Immediately representing their true age!

This music video relates personally to the artists, as both of them were bullied at a young age in school and this video shows how they were set apart from the rest of the school children and possibly formed their own personal, close relationships with other children who were of a higher maturity.

I think this music video is extremely effective as it doesn't have any artists singing within it, it just shows a full story and I like that. It is extremely audience related, as only Taylor and Ed fans would know that they were bullied at school and the song could be possibly spelling how that many things have changed since school and it has clearly been for the better, as they're both famous musicians.
